Fungus Gnat Problems... Fungus gnats are little flies whose larvae feed on the compost in houseplant soil. They are often confused with fruit flies as they look similar to and are approximately the same size as fruit flies. They are very harmful to houseplants as once the larvae have eaten all the compost, they will feed on the roots of the houseplant, weakening and potentially killing the plant. |
